About the Tournament

About PGA Championship

The PGA Championship is one of golf's four majors, played each May at a rotating venue selected by the PGA of America. Often called "Glory's Last Shot" historically, when it used to close out the major season, it now lands in mid-May and kicks off the heart of major season. In 2026 it returns to Aronimink Golf Club outside Philadelphia, a classic Donald Ross design that last hosted a men's major when Gary Player won the 1962 PGA Championship.

The field is the strongest of any major: every PGA Tour winner from the past year gets an invite, plus the top 100 in world rank, plus dozens of qualifiers from PGA section championships. The result is a tournament where club pros tee off alongside the world's best. The PGA Championship has the deepest leaderboards in golf, and surprise winners are a recurring storyline.

Why You Should Host a PGA Championship Pool

The marquee week of the season is more fun when your friends are watching with you.

The Group Chat Lights Up

Every birdie, every collapse, every Sunday charge becomes a shared moment. PGA Championship week becomes the most active your text thread is all year.

Even Non-Golfers Get Hooked

Pick a couple names, suddenly you're invested. People who normally tune out golf end up watching the back nine because their picks are in contention.

Sunday Becomes an Event

PGA Championship Sunday goes from background TV to "you watching this?" texts every twenty minutes. Friendly stakes make every shot meaningful.

Five Minutes, No Spreadsheets

No formulas, no manual scoring, no chasing people for picks. Create a pool, share one link, watch the leaderboard update itself in real time.

The PGA Championship sits right in the heart of golf season. Your friends are warming up to the year, courses are open, conversations are starting to pivot from college basketball to who's hot on tour. It's the perfect tournament to start an annual pool tradition.

Because the field is so deep, the leaderboard tends to scramble. A pool here rewards spreading your picks rather than stacking the favorites, which means more surprise winners in your group, more arguments in the chat, and a tighter race to Sunday. Easy setup, free for everyone to join, and live scoring that makes the final round something to watch together.
